Plinko max win – versions comparison

When it comes to Max Win – things get almost the same for all the games of this type. Majority of providers cap the max win at 1000x:

As you can see, in most variations of plinko, on the largest number of rows the maximum multiplier is 1000x, with very few exceptions. And even in the ones that offer 1000x you have to max out all the volatility settings, if number of rows is minimal max win will be less than 50x.

Variations of Plinko like Plinko 2 or Gravity Plinko have in-game mechanics that boost multiplier in their own way, in that case yes, it goes over 1000x

You may think that it is way less than in slots, but wins in Plinko are more frequent than the ones in slots, so it is no big deal. The other thing that is important – Casino max win cap, while for slots Max Win is appliable for all possible bet sizes, in Plinko and other games of instant-win type there is Max win Cap in Money equivalent. There are not that many settings:

For the lines count: more lines means bigger piramid, bigger pyramid means more slots where ball can fall.

For Risk level – at higher risk level side slots of the pyramids pay more, and central ones pay less. On high setting wins are less frequent and more massive, and for Easy setting wins come more often but they become smaller.

Plinko pyramid leads to normal statistic distribution of balls through the slots at the bottom of the pyramid, so most of the balls fall close to its center. But lucky ones fall closer to its edges leading to major wins.

I even found an article on web with plinko simulator, where you can drop 1000 of balls at once and see the distribution of balls:

This is how the distrubution of 1000 balls looks like for 16 rows. I picked 16 rows as it is the maximum possible setting in Bgaming classic Plinko Version. So as we see on the illustration above, no balls fell into 1000x slot and 130x slots at all, meaning that throwing one thousand balls does not guarantee the max win, as per statistics. The biggest I got in this test is 5 balls that would hit 26x and 203 balls that hit 0.2x.

Other points that I found:

• Moving from 10 to 14 rows barely changes odds but inflates streak volatility
• High-risk 16-row almost doubles the Graveyard (0.2×) rate

And once again, this is why RTP is extremely important, with 99% RTP house edge barely affects the gameplay, it can only be noticed after dropping thousands of balls. In my example it would take 1% of balls away, meaning remaining 990 balls would be played as they are.

Provably fair math

Most of casino games today allow players to check the seed and confirm that the game is fair with a checker. I’ve never seen a rigged Plinko version in a reputable Casinos, but there are plenty of scams in mobile apps.
